Welcome to West Carleton Toastmasters, we are very happy to have you in our club.

The great thing about Toastmasters is that you can work at your own pace. You will need to contact our Vice President of Education, and let him know your goals and how often you would like to speak.

As a member of our club you will have the opportunity to develop a range of communication skills. This is accomplished by assigning for different roles every week, depending on your comfort and experience levels. You will be given ample opportunity to develop your public speaking and leadership skills.

The VP of Education will also assign a mentor to assist you in understanding our different meeting roles and speech projects. It is most beneficial if you contact your mentor prior to performing each new meeting role for the first time.

In additional, you will find your fellow club members to be a great encouragement and willing to answer your questions cheerfully.

How we use Easy-Speak

Please note that our club is currently only using Easy-Speak as an on-line Sign-Up tool, replacing our old Sign-Up book.
At this time we are NOT using the automatic assignment capability that Easy-Speak also offers.
Should you have any questions regarding the use of Easy-Speak, please feel free to contact either our President or the V.P. of Education.
In addition, if you are not comfortable using an on-line tool, or do not have on-line access, please do NOT worry! You can be paired up with a computer buddy, who will handle the on-line sign-up on your behalf.
We would never let technology stand between you and the club, or prevent you from signing up or attending meetings!
Easy-Speak is simply a tool, which we hope will make life easier for most members as well as the executive, and a natural evolution towards increased on-line presence.
