Welcome to West Carleton Toastmasters,
we are very happy to have you in our club.
The great thing about Toastmasters is that you can work
at your own pace. You will need to contact our Vice President
of Education, and let him know your goals and how
often you would like to speak.
As a member of our club you will have the opportunity to develop
a range of communication skills. This is accomplished by assigning
for different roles every week, depending on your comfort and
experience levels. You will be given ample opportunity to develop
your public speaking and leadership skills.
The VP of Education will also assign a mentor to assist you in
understanding our different meeting roles and speech projects.
It is most beneficial if you contact your mentor prior to performing
each new meeting role for the first time.
In additional, you will find your fellow club members to be a
great encouragement and willing to answer your questions cheerfully.
